Dr.Keith Johnston MB.BAO,BCh,LRCP SI,Dip.Advanced Obstetric Ultrasound, MRCOG.
Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist

Minimal Access Surgeon

"Dr Johnston graduated with Honours in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, Dublin in 1995. After gaining a sound basic training in very busy leading Gynaecological and Obstetric hospitals in Dublin, he moved home to Northern Ireland in 1998. He achieved his membership from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists(MRCOG) at a very early stage in his career. During his early post graduate training he also quickly acquired a Diploma in advanced obstetric ultrasound, in addition to recognition in gynaecological ultrasound from the Royal college of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and Royal College of Radiologists.

Seeing the future of gynaecological surgery for women was minimal access surgery and realizing this training was very limited in mainland United Kingdom and Ireland, he travelled to Sydney, Australia to undertake a fellowship in advanced laparoscopic gynaecological surgery. He spent two and a half years in Sydney Womens Endosurgical Centre (SWEC), a world leading training centre in gynaecological surgery.
Bringing these advanced surgical skills back to Northern Ireland, he is and remains one of the provinces most established and leading gynaecological surgeons. Dr Johnston has published extensively in gynaecological surgical journals, is actively involved in post graduate training and continues to present papers of his ongoing work and experience annually in Europe and the United States.".

Dr.David J Morgan MRCOG, MB BAO BCh, Dip. Adv. Gyn. Endoscopy (distinction).
Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist

"Dr.Morgan is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with expertise in laparoscopic procedures, hysteroscopy and colposcopy (treatment of abnormal cervical smears). As an undergraduate the management of complex pregnancy and excitement of the labour ward led to a career in obstetrics and gynaecology.
After a prize winning presentation at an international conference he had the opportunity to meet leaders in the field of minimal access gynae surgery. This encouraged him to apply for a post as lecturer and clinical fellow in Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.
During this fellowship he was awarded Diploma in advanced gynaecological endoscopy (distinction). After 2 years of intensive training in West Sussex and Dublin with world renowned experts in laparoscopy, endometriosis and colposcopy he returned to northern Ireland and was awarded a place on the specialist register in Obstetrics and gynaecology before taking up a consultant post in Antrim Area Hospital. Since then he has developed an interest in Risk Management and patient safety and contributes to national programs such as Each Baby Counts.
Safe, effective clinical care and ensuring women feel empowered to make the best decisions about their health care is at the core of his practice.

My name is Agnes Flood , I did my nursing training in England qualifying as a Registered Nurse in 1983 and as a Registered Midwife in 1985. I returned to Northern Ireland in 1995 having worked both in the private sector and NHS. I have been a midwife in Northern Trust since 1998.
For the past 9 years I have been a maternity sister in maternity/gynaecology clinics in the NHSCT. In recent years I have returned to college and completed my diploma in reflexology and aromatherapy. I qualified as a Reproductive Reflexologist in May 2015. I am a member of the Association of Reproductive Reflexologists. This involves working with treatment protocols to support couples with fertility, sub-fertility and assisted conception. I love what I do and my work comes from the heart. The treatment is tailored for your individual needs and my aim is to balance and harmonise mind, body and spirit through the energetics of reflexology. First consultation involves a detailed history, nutritional and lifestyle advice and a reflexology treatment.

Mrs.Valerie Millen
Head Nurse & Urogynaecology Specialist

My name is Valerie Millen ,I graduated from the University of Ulster with an Honours Degree in Adult Nursing and I have worked in the Gynaecology setting within the NHS for the last twelve years, mainly specialising in Urogynaecology and carrying out Nurse led Urodynamics clinics. I have completed and successfully obtained the Non- Medical Nurse Prescribing qualification from Queens University Belfast in 2014. I have trained at Southmead Hospital in Bristol where I obtained my certificate in Urodynamics and recently I attended a Urodynamics and Botox masterclass in Manchester.
Urinary incontinence affects two out of three women, and yet many do not seek help mainly due to embarrassment. In my daily role as a urogynae Nurse Specialist, I see the negative impact that bladder problems have on a person’s social, work-life balance, sexual relationships, sleep patterns and the emotional well- being of the person. I see approximately thirty ladies per month who are bothered with urinary incontinence symptoms; a sensitive issue however by coming along and talking to a health professional is the first step to get working on a treatment plan. I love working in Urogynae and being able to see patients’ symptoms improve with either medication, lifestyle management, bladder retraining etc. is very worthwhile and rewarding indeed.
