Gender scans from 18 weeks

Is it a girl or a boy?! Sometimes it’s just too hard to wait until the big day. Having had your 12 week NHS scan you have decided you want to know the sex of your baby to enjoy the magical experience of choosing a name, decorating a nursery and getting to know your growing wriggling bump.

After 18 weeks it is the easiest time for an experienced gynaecologist to see your babys gender using ultrasound scanning. Our highly accurate professional opinion is based on years of experience using a 2D ultrasound on your tummy. You will receive ultrasound pictures of your growing baby to take home and show off.

Interestingly, the gender can also be determined as part of a Non-Invasive Prenatal test (Harmony). This can accurately estimate the gender of a baby from 10 weeks of pregnancy.
