Also known as “the change of life,” menopause can be a challenging time in a woman’s life. The vulva is the area around the entrance to the vagina. Itch, burning, and pain are symptoms of vulval disorders. These distressing symptoms often raise concerns about sexually transmitted infection but are more often related to skin disorders that can be easily treated after an examination and occasionally biopsy of the skin.
