Recurrent Urinary Infections
This is a very common complaint for which we get many referrals. It affects in women of all ages. Sometimes these seem to occur spontaneously, sometimes are associated with intercourse or even periods. They are obviously very painful, frustrating and debilitating.
There are several baseline investigations that we will carry out before or whilst treatment options and regimes are considered. Treatments, after ruling out any obvious underlying cause, can include long term prophylactic antibiotic therapies, topical Oestrogens or vaginal lubrication regimes or non-antibiotic therapies.
